Keg at Harajuku taproom. Red amber almost brown coloured with small off white/beige head. Aroma is bit spicy and with lots of hoppy bitterness (b.o./cat pee) and pine elements. Real prickly spikiness in the mouth. Taste is quite boozy and nice and bitter. Very nice.

Tap @ Baird Nakameguro Taproom. Pours deep amber with some off white head. Leaves agressive lacings, nice. Nose is sweetish, Baird's house character yeast fruitiness (I do like it), dark fruits and some caramel coming out later. Taste has fragrant bitterness, actually becoming more intense after some time. Good hops that are well balanced with overall malty and a bit sweet body. Actually not what you call a crazy beer these days - but tasty and dangerously drinkable hoppy ale. Me like it.

330ml bottle from Mitsuya’s in Asagaya. Poured into a snifter. Hazy, rich caramel brown with a modest white head. Floral, pine, rye aromas present. Caramel, brown sugar, and toffee taste abound. Hope shine through on the finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Bakayaro-! Ale (ばかやろー!エール) on 10 Feb 2016 at 09:40

8.5% 1000 yen tasting set at Basamichi taproom(200 yen more than Numazu). Quite a dark glossy brown with reddish tints & a beige head. Malty, chocolate sweet nose. Full smooth bodied beer, the taste is smokey, chocolate, toffee, a bit of heft to it but just a hint of citrus hop notes over a great  malty complex body. Nice.

Amber in color with a light tan head. A light roasted and heavy hop aroma. Flavor has some nice citric notes with roast and light candied sugar as well. Light dry bitterness in the finish. A very nice brew but for Bakayaro! I was hoping for more intensity. Still, a very nice offering from Baird.

Draught at Nakameguro. Dark orange-brown color with a thin, frothy head. Big American hop aroma, with citrus and pine, medium malt with raisins. Flavor is sweet yet well balanced, with caramel, rich malt, and both aroma and bittering hops. Has notes of raisins, pine, citrus, and cherry. Big, bitter hop finish. Nice stuff.
