A deep brown ale with a thick off white head. A light chocolate and caramel aroma. In mouth, a musty sweet caramel malt, with notes of bitter chocolate, light spiced notes. Medium bodied. Nice. 1.59$ at CJs Potsdam, 2007.

12 oz bottle. Pours with a small head. Aroma is mainly made up of beavy british biscuit with a slight background of spices (cinamon and nutmeg). Taste has some malt sweetess with slight spices, very low hopped, low bitterness. Average mouthfeel and a sold medium body. A very nice beer from these brewers.

2004 bottle. Rosy peach-orange body. HEAVILY filtered, small light beige head with an aroma of caramelized brown sugar, some very light fruity yeast notes and some dry nutty nuances. Flavor does not work. Wow, this is way too sweet. Scotch ale or no scotch ale, this stuff is sugary, boring, very uncomplex and even artificial tasting. Tastes like it was made out of an extract homebrew kit, watery, syrupy flavors, seemingly very few different malts used (at least I can’t taste much variation). I took one or two sips and poured the rest out.
