Draft. A pitch black beer with a rim of brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of roasted malt as well as lighter notes of sweet malt (pilsner or the like), leading to a bitter finish. The body is thin.

On tap at BrewPub Portland OR, Pours out a almost black topped with a tan head. A nice coffee aroma. Tast of coffee some light smoke and a touch of chocolate. This Porter had a great full bodie as well.

Draft at the brewpub. Aroma of toasted malt and very light coffee. Medium body with pert carbonation. Black color with creamy tan head. Flavor is smooth toasted malt, transitioning to something like cola, followed by floral fruity notes. Finishes very smooth, definitely fruity, and extremely pleasant.

Bottle: Poured very dark brown with lasting medium tan head. Aroma of chocolate and roast malt. Roast malty body with chocolate and hop notes. As bear warmed, the finish became fuller and mouthfeel greater. I found two stray bottles of this in a market. Is this no longer being bottled?

On tap at Bridgeport, Portland. Black with disappearing tan head. Sour dark malt aroma. Again, a bit carbonated which gave it a thin feel in mouth. Nice liquorish flavour, bit of smoke, choccy liquorice, still excellent despite the lack of fullness in mouth.
