Bigger Copenhagen bimble with Colin, Ronnie, Reuben and Alex. Warpigs. Keg. Hazy gold beer, untidy pale cream colour head. Palate is semi dry with a fine minerally crispness. Smooth pale malts, lightly sweet. Very modest smoke. Mild banana esters and a little spice. Dry finish reveals some citric hop. Not bad.

400ml tap at the brewpub. A chalk white head over a cloudy, yellow body. Fair lacing. Smoked fruity smell. The flavour character smoked malts, in the direction of sausage, hints of lemony hops as well. Foamy in the mouth. Pleasing (shared with Skinnyviking, Copenhagen 29.04.2015).

Tap at the Brewpub. Poured a hazy straw colour with little life. The aroma is dry peachy, light smoky aspirin mineral. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a mineral aspirin bitter, saison like palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Hazy golden with a small white head. Bready malt aroma with a touch of smoke. Sweetish malty flavour with nice smokey character. Pretty average, but tasty.

tap@Warpigs, Copenhagen - pours fuzzy burnished gold with a white head. Aroma and taste is grassy hoppy, light caramel, meaty notes, smokeyness, not my kind of style overall.

At warpigs. Cloudy yellow smooth white head.malty aroma. Dough. Flowery notes. Flavor is sweet malty and a strange herbal bitterness. Most noticeable is a herbal sweetness rather than a smoked bitterness. Flavor is in the sweet and bitter area that I don’t like that much. However, after a while the smoked notes came through a lot more than in the beginning, and the flavor profile changed towards the more expected. Not sure what was the reason for this change, at the beginning there was a lot of smoked charcoal smell in warpigs from the kitchen, and the beer was of course served relatively cold (perfect drinking temp. btw. not too cold): but perhaps the smoky environment and a chilled glass made the smoked notes partly disappear. the some flavor i got in the end was meaty grill kind of smoke.
