Buddy, pal, mate, brother (or sister) from another mother, compadre . . . sidekick. All of these are ways to describe someone or something that is always at your side. Sidekick extra pale ale is one of those things. This golden colored ale is loaded with juicy citrus and passion fruit hop aroma yet balanced with malt and hop character. A true companion.

Bottle with hesitant thanks to coyotehunter... umm... thanks or something. So this beer pours a light and clear gold with a fizzy head. Looks like something that is meant to not startle the macro-swilling crowd. In fact, it smells and tastes like that kind of beer too. It’s not bad, but it’s not adventurous either.

can - This hazy gold brew has a one finger off-white head. It has a good, citrus rich aroma. Citrus hops and subdued malt sweetness combine for a moderately bitter, medium bodied beer that’s really easy to drink. Recommended.

Can. Big lemon and grapefruit nose. Shiny golden with lace. Bright hop flavor, great citrus and tropical fruits. Light, with prickly carbonation that picks up the hops. Great stuff.

Location: Draft at Haymarket, 5/28/14
Aroma: The nose is solid, some fruity hops, grass, and a bit of spice
Appearance: Pours an unclear orange-gold color with a thin beige/off-white head
Flavor: Tastes similarly, with clean hoppy flavors, fruity, leans hoppy, solidly balanced though
Palate: The body is light-medium, pretty easy drinking and sessionable brew
Overall Impression: Another solid offering from Two Brothers. Looks like this one is canned, which makes sense, as this feels like a good canned beer. Liked it.
