Rustic and full of character, properly brewed, properly lagered, naturally carbonated. Unequalled in flavour and integrity. Immensely drinkable.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Moor Vaults, Bermondsey. Pours clear honey-gold with a small, creamy white head. Lightly sweet, lovely fresh biscuits, nips of grass, straw. Light bodied with massaging carbonation. Balanced finish, a few husky grains, more crispy biscuits, restrained bitter hay and grass, a suggestion of lemon rind. Really solid lager overall.

330ml can from Honest Brew. Look - slightly hazy gold, small white head, spotted retention. Aroma - pale malts, clean grass hops. Taste - pale malts, grains, slight toast, grass, citrus, herb and bitter finish, maybe even a touch of pepper like spice. Palate - light but slick, soft to zingy carbonation. To take a standard 4% pale lager and elevate it takes some craft but Moor have managed it. In some ways this is the most impressive of the 9 beers I have tried from them so far, but its still just a lager so there is a limit to its enjoyment.
