Sampled from tap at ’Stoom’. Slightly hazy, golden amber with a thin, white layer. Slightly sourish, moderately fruity and yeasty-spicy aroma of banana, peach, clove and grapefruit. Slightly bitter, sourish and grassy-fruity taste of grapefruit, clove, peach and hints of banana, followed by a medium long, moderately grassy-bitter, slightly yeasty-spicy finish. Medium body, rather effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Nice!

330 ml bottle. Unclear orange body with a dense off-white head. Moderate aroma of fruit, spices, yeast and a bit soapy. Flavor is Refreshing fruity, some malt, spicy yeast, relatively bitter for a Saison. Medium body and OK aftertaste. Quite nice and easy without any kind of surprises.

33cl Bottle from Mitra Tiel. Opaque golden orange colour, off-white head. Aroma of funk, light Brett, yeast, citrus, peach, hay. Flavour is medium sweet, dry, peach, some citrus, funky yeast, bitter finish. Light bodied. Tasty stuff.

Bottle courtesy of Douberd, many thanks! Hazy orange color with small white head. Aroma is peppery, flowery, citrusy, a bit phenolic. Taste is a bit boozy, doughy, toffee, spicy, also vineous-tart, and with a dry peppery finish. Carbonation is medium, but overall refreshing. Not bad!

Bottle, small sample. Slight hazy golden color, medium frothy head. Aroma is peppery and spicy, bit fruity, citrus, slight funk. Soft bitterness in taste, bit spicy. Easy to drink. Decent saison.

Small yellowish head, irregular over hazy orange beer. Fruity hops’ nose, slightly cheesy, herval, citrus/orange, marzipan. Quite bitter first impression, then fruity but not very sparkling, dull-fruity flavours. Again ever so slightly cheesy. Light body but quite slick; well-carbonated, spritzy. Slowly fading flavours. Might have shown some more stamina.

Bottle 330ml. [ As Oersoep En Garde (Saison) ].Clear medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is light moderate malty, bread, pale malt, light yeasty, saison yeast. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, pale malt, saison yeast, bread, light dusty. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20150923]
