Pitch black colour, small brown head. Wonderful aroma, dark woodfire oven bread, boutique coffee. Smooth mouthfeel, lean and elegant body, the roasted malt flavour is prominent.

500 ml bottle, bottled May 24 2019. Black body, with a quite big, creamy, coffee-colored head. Aroma of freshly grinded coffee, soy sauce, cocoa powder, dark chocolate, some tobacco, some dark fruits, subtle toffee, slight ash. Tastes similar. Medium, creamy mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation. Finishes roasty-dry, a bit bitter, a bit wooden, with coffee, cocoa powder, dark chocolate, slight toffee. Very tasty! Lovely, distinctive coffee notes throughout, while also diverse, robust roasted malt and chocolatey notes. Drinks smooth and balanced, great Coffee Stout. Score: 8 / 4 / 8 / 4 / 17

Bottle shared at a Lucky Bamboo share. Thanks Adam! Pours a pitch black with a finger of brown head that lingers. Lovely roasted malt, cacao nib, dark chocolate truffle and light treacle notes. Deep vanilla bean as it warms up. Well-balanced on the palate between dark roast and sweet chocolate and vanilla. Slightly creamy mid-palate to finish with lingering cold brew coffee and a mild bitterness that counters the sweetness. Everything in its right place.

Craft TCR bottleshare. Thanks to New Ken. Almost opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Airy palate, semi dry and with reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth airy dark malts. Mild dark chocolate and dark malt cream. Mild spice. Light finish. Simple stuff but nice enough.
