We love beasts of lore. Unicorns, Dragons, and untold combinations therein. When it came time to name our epic Russian Imperial Stout, it only made sense for an epic fantasy beast to become the namesake. Thus was born the Blaecorn Unidragon: part Black Unicorn, part Soul Dragon, and the ultimate mythical beast. This rich and complex brew was designed to improve with age, with aggressive hops and an intense dark malt bill that fill this Russian Imperial Stout with intense flavors and a full body.

Bomber from Big Al's. Dark, dark brown, small bubbly beige head. Aroma is chocoalte and roast, rich and full. So far, amazing. It gets better. Bittersweet chocolate, coffee, burnt toast, woody. Hefty, full. Definitely worthy of its score.

Clear dark brown to black beer, small creamy irregular beige head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: super fruity, blueberry jam, sugary, sweet, nice roast. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: bitter, lots of roast going on, dark chocolate, bitter, dry and hoppy. Aftertaste: some jam, blackberries, pretty fruity, alcohol, roasted, sweet touch, very nice one!

1 pint 6 oz. bottle.
AROMA: Strong scent of caramel, chocolate, and brown sugar.
APPEARANCE: Pours an opaque black with a tight, tan head that dissipates very slowly
TASTE: Sweet with flavors of dark chocolate and brown sugar. There are hints of coffee and vanilla, too.
PALATE: Thick texture with a very smooth mouthfeel. Average carbonation. Finish is mainly of chocolate that lingers for a long time, and if followed by a quick bout of alcohol flavor
OVERALL: This is a fantastic beer! The only nit-pick I can come up with is that I find it to be a little soft. I think if it had just an teeny bit more bite, then it would be perfect. But who knows, maybe if they made it with more bite, I might not like it as much as I think I would. The world may never know. :)

Bottle @ The Beer Gerden
Black color, minimal off-white head with short retention. Aroma with notes of coffee, licorice, wood, some ashes. Flavor with roasted malts, coffee beans, black chocolate, sirupy and light vanilla. Roasty with alcohol perfectly hidden by notes of coffee beans. Dense and creamy mouthfeel.

Bottle sample at festival. Pitch black with almost no head. Aggressive roast, dark chocolate, smokey leather, a bit of coffee. Sweetish finish lingering. Oily and full. Very nice!

From a 650ml bottle on 31/12/2017 (ABV listed as 11.5%, shared with Butz). Pours near black with a big tan head. The aroma features light chocolate and roasted malt. The falvour is primary dark chocolate, caramel roasted malt, soy and hops. It's quite bitter and intense - a true slow sipper, and drinks every bit of the 11.5%. Creamy palate and moderate carbonation. A pleasant enough impy, but something a bit sweeter and smoother is more my style.
