16oz bottle from Tavour. Dark brown pour, foamy beige head settles out to a long lived thin layer. Malty aroma, nutty, chocolate. Taste is sweet, toasty, brown sugar, chocolate, nutty. Very well rounded. Delicious, mouthfeel.

Capped 500 from Tavour. Pours dark mahogany with a large creamy tan head that went frothy and laced. Aroma is bready dark toffee with hints of nuts and chocolate. Med body. Malty, but not really sweet. Bitter enough for balance. Nice flavor.

Tap at the brewpub. Flat amber-brown color, clear. Toasted malt nose with chocolate and caramel notes. Flavor is very toasty, somewhat nutty, bread, chocolate, caramel. The toasted grain character is nice but a bit too much. Body is rather light.
