Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a clear orange color with a thin off-white head that dissipates quickly. Stringy lacing on the glass. Grassy hops aroma with some fruity notes. Light and crisp body with flavors of hops, fruit and some grainy malt. The finish is fruity with a mild hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

Draught at the brewpub
Hazy blond color. Quite light but crispy, with a reasonable hopping.

Tap at the Brew Pub, Chicago. Pour is clear golden with a nice fluffy white head. Aroma is is really faint, but I get some fruitiness and a touch of earthiness. Taste is a nice, clean , slightly hopped brew. The finish has a bit of the dry bitterness I associate with Kolsch. Nothing complex with this one, though it was a great pair with my Pizza.

Beer-judging sized sampler. Very spritzy and lemony. Has a thin head with some lacing over a straw colored, slightly cloudy body. Grassy hops, just a little sour, and a nice clean finish. Yeah, that pizza is pretty good (thin-crust on a cracker-style crust is Chicago’s “other” pizza, and they do it pretty well here).
