12 oz bottle leftover from an Extra Life marathon party last month. Cloudy orange with half a finger of off-white head. Aromas of lemon lime and orange citrus, herbs, a little yeast. Tastes of orange citrus, herbs, a little citrus peel, some wheat. Light body with a semi-dry finish. Decent wit.

0.33 l bottle at Europa Cinema, Zagreb, Croatia. Pours cloudy orange to dark golden with a small off white head. Grain aroma along with some citrus, fruit candy, orange. Sweet, but empty. Aroma is present but seems fake. Medium carbonation, light to medium body. Some banana in the finish, fruits again. Fades quickly.

Slightly hazy golden straw with a fizzy off white head that disappears quickly. Smell: Fruity, light citrus, a hint of spice, and malt sweetness. Fruity, apple, light citrus, coriander spice, a little corn, and malt sweetness. Light body, moderate carbonation. Pretty drinkable.

Bottle from Coop. Let’s see how the macros do at making craft... Not so well, apparently. At least this Wit is rather boring. It’s brewed to the style, but there’s absolutely nothing interesting about it. Meh.

Hazy yellow colored, small white head. Aroma is honey, caramel, bit of wheat and some spices. Taste is medium sweet wheat, honey, caramel, spice and only light orange, some veggie soup notes in the otherwise yeasty finish. Light to medium bodied, soft carbonation.

355ml bottle from Tesco. Cloudy orange colour with a small quickly fading head. Orange and coriander in both the aroma and taste. It’s a nice one but I’d rather have an actual Belgian Witbier.

When friends make you go to a Zagrebačka-run pub, get new rates you’ve been procrastinating to get for some time now. Or something. At the Ožujsko Pub in Tkalča, Zagreb. Made in Canada. Murky amber body with a white head. Aroma of coriander, slightly sweet. Candyish coriander taste, notes of caramel. That’s pretty much it. A simple, effective quasi-wit that might appeal to a less demanding audience. But with Hoegaarden around, I’m not getting it again.

Bottled 355ml. -at Pivana Zagreb. Hazy orange coloured, small white head, coriander in the nose. Quite wheaty, sweetish fruity, light yeasty and plenty of coriander with touch of vegetables (celery for sure) and mild spicy finish. Not bad but a bit messy brew.
