Reviewed from notes. Rcvd in trade.
She pours a nice cloudy burnt orange color and leaves the same colored body with a nice one finger white foamy head that leaves super nice spotty spider web lacing. The way the head dies is enthralling as it lingers a bit, turns lumpy, picks up the pace and then slows down, not sure how else to describe this, but what a show! The body is clear yet there is no carbonation seen rising. The smell has a magical earthy, bitter hoppy and malty, aroma that wants to pierce my olfactory senses but maintains a super nice balance between all. Its practically almost perfect.
The taste brings back the earthy, hoppy, maltiness and gives a good citrus back-up that I really like.
On the palate, she sits about a medium, with a superb creaminess, nothing harsh on the tongue. Though the ABV is fairly high, this is a fairly drinkable IPA.
Overall, for a long time I didn’t like IPA’s and then I learned to distinguish between English and American and thought I liked the English more, this one really changed my mind.

Tap at the Bad Apple, Chicago. Poured a cloudy medium bet with a round white head and some lace. The aroma is big hoppy malt and dough. The flavour is medium bitter with a dry yeast liqourice slightly medicinal palate.
