Appearance: clean orange color with a quarter finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: clean malty bready tones with some sweet straw notes, sly sweet yeast tone
Flavor: meshes the previously noted aromas to a fair malty sweetness to a nice hop sweetness, subtle spicy vibe underneath; finishes clean and malty
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; great smoothness - nothing distracting, good carb level
Overall: nicely done Kellerbier I would return to.

On tap at Jack's Abby, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out straw and toasted biscuity malt. Flavour is very laid back, with bready malt and light cereal sweetness. Nicely constructed but pretty neutral on the palate. Okay, but forgettable.

16 oz. can. Pours a slightly hazy, orange, with a small, bubbly, beige head. The aroma is whole grains, caramel, walnuts, and vanilla. Sweet and very yeasty, with a light, spicy bitterness. Light to medium body, with a sharp, biscuity feel. This is a mellow and surprisingly sharp lager.

Draught @ Randolph beer, DUMBO, Brooklyn. Pours dark golden with an offwhite head, lacings. Aroma of malt, grass, light sweet fruity hops, ripe apples. Flavor is sweet, malt, yeast, hay, grass, little fruit. Medium body, average to lively carbonation, light sweet finish. 260418

On tap at Blind Tiger. Pours a clear deep gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of straw with grass and grain supporting. Flavor combines straw and grass with a strong hay backbone.

Pours nice orange with some limited white foam. Nose is biscuity, quite clean and with some bitterness. Taste is sweetish, malty, good bitterish base. Drinks well and definitively enjoyable. Light bitterish linger in the finish. Good.

Very earthy nose with lots of barnyard, bread and hay. Medium body with hay and grassy hops. Medium carbonation. Very clean. Well put together.

Can from AJ's. Don't get the name--this is Franconian. Hazy pale amber-orange color with a low, thick head. Malty Vienna nose, bread, toast, light caramel, grassy hops, yeast. Rich and malty, bready, lightly sweet but not overly so. Earthy hops. Full body with low carbonation is smooth as hell. Comes across as a very authentic Franconian Kellerbier, the closest I have had outside of the area, I think. A little more bitterness and hop flavor would make it perfect. Also just a tad too sweet. Still, I could easily do a mass of this. Glad to see Jack's really nailing the more authentic lager styles. Damn, this is cheap and easy to get and really very good.

Tap at Jack's Abby, Framingham. Colour is clear light orange with very small white head. Aromas and flavors: Sweetness, biscuits, some dry fruits, some Christmas spices and malts. Weird.

16 ounce can. Hazy medium gold pour. Large frothy beige head. clinging lace. Light malt nose has biscuit tendencies. Some fruit. First sip is sweet fruity malt. Pear, lemon, Wonder bread and vanilla. Slightly drier in middle with grassy hops. Malt dominates, though very drinkable and satisfying.
