Floral and citrus from the Japanese Green tea, harvested every year from our Brewmaster's tea field in Japan, melds harmoniously with German and French hops in this big, but agile IPA. A simple but robust malt profile and a high alcohol percentage help balance out the natural astringency from the hops and tea, creating a beer that opens with force but does not linger beyond its welcome. Sweet, honey- and biscuit-like notes fill the middle out, while the hops and green tea surround and suffuse the palate, creating a silken texture along the way.

Can from the brewery. Pours a hazy amber, with a medium off white head. Aroma is resinous, with an earthy grass, and obvious green tea. mouth feel is lively, and bright, carb is nice. Finish is medium bitter, earthy finish, with lots of grass and a soft resinous pine.

I usually don't gouch for flavoured IPAs but this one really works. Green tea adds a kind of floral element. There is pine from the hops. Golden pour with pretty good head and lacing. Bitter finish. Nicely done. Can.

17/2/2023. Can shared by minutemat, cheers. Pours clear golden with a small frothy white head. Aroma is fruity citrus, green tea, herbs, yeast. Moderate sweetness, quite heavy bitterness. Medium body, slightly oily, average carbonation. Not bad.

355 ml can. 6.0%. Pours an orange/amber with moderate foamy head. Aromas of stoned fruit, orange, floral hops, and toasted malts. Flavors follow same with additional sharp bitter tea. Very nice, often tea flavors to me can be a sign of old hops. Not here.

330ml can from Cloudwater online. It pours lightly hazy golden - blonde with a thick fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh, fragrant, perfumed, floral, definite green tea vibes, herbal, lemon verbena and a touch of mint. The taste is dry, bitter, fragrant, floral, green, herbal, big hit of green tea, matcha, waxy citrus peel, floury bread, biscuit and a touch of spice with a dry, waxy citrus peel finish. Medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Fun stuff.

Cloudy gold with a rich white head. Earthy hops. Bitter and caramel with some decent sweetness. Weird but not in a particularly good way.

Can: Poured a golden color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of bitter hops notes with some herbal notes and green tea notes is also clearly noticeable. Taste is also a mix of bitter hops with some herbal floral hops undertones with some light citrus notes and green tea notes. Body is about average with some good carbonation. Interesting mix of tea notes into an IPA.

On tap at Godspeed, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma reveals subtle earthy notes from the green tea and bitter, earthy hops. Flavour is pretty much identical, with earthy hops, green tea, and muted bready notes. I wish the green tea would come through more clearly—oh well. Pleasant enough.
