Super hazy golden coloured body with a decent, two centimetre tall tan head and a slight orange glow. Aroma of rich sticky hops with a tropical fruit scent, some good malts and a lot of alcohol and sugars noticeable as well. Full-bodied; Rich malty mouthful with a good tropical fruit and grassy hop flavour that shows well. Aftertaste shows a light apricot and orange flavour with a little sweetness, and some noticeable hops. Overall, nothing that shows up as a great Imperial IPA and a decent one for sure, but nothing more than that. If you peeled this label off and put on an unknown brewery, it would get far less favourable scores. Please don’t go out of your way or spend a ton of money like I did (on both accounts) to get this beer - you’ll be disappointed. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from King Richard Wine & Spirits in Michigan City, Indiana on 09-September-2015 for US$10,99 sampled at home in Washington on 20-September-2015, just eleven days after purchase.

22 oz bottle poured into a Spiegelau tulip. Bottled 9/12/2014. Hazy orange color with just over a finger of off-white head. Decent lacing. Aromas of citrus, light tropical fruit, floral notes, biscuit. Tastes of citrus, aged hops, floral notes, caramel, malt, a bit of booze. Medium body with a semi-dry and slightly warm boozy finish.

On tap at Mikkeller and Friends. Hazy amber with a small white head. Fruity and floral hoppy aroma, a little tired though. Sweet malty flavour with pine hops and a rather bitter finish

Tasting at Matt’s
Cloudy light amber color with small head. Hop aroma with strong manure character. Strong body, with quite some sweetness too, almost balanced by extreme piney hopping. Quite abrasive. Punch in the face beer.

22 oz. bottle, sent from Glouglouburp (thanks a lot, Dany), pours a cloudy vibrant orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of orange fruits, some candied sugar, and resinous hops. Flavour is dominated by citrus fruits, particularly orange and grapefruit, with resinous hops, bitter fruits and a dirty yeasty component. Quite strange, with a very dirty, orangey quality. Not up to the usual quality of Three Floyds. Decent, but off the mark.

Sample at the brewpub. Slightly cloudy amber-orange color with a medium white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of piney hops, citrus and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of resiny hops, dank tropical fruits and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a citrusy hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

Tap at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Hazy amber pour with a white head. Aromas of pineapple, mango, lots of sweet citrus. Oozes fruit in the nose. Flavours of tangerine, orange peel with underlying nutty flavours. Long fruity finish. Tasty.
