With an aroma of noble hops and floral alcohol, Antwerpen is a celebration of the city from which Dageraad draws its inspiration. Antwerp is a progressive European city, a gritty port town, a haven of art and architecture, and above all, an excellent place to have a beer.

220mL pour at the brewery. Pours hazy golden blonde with a foamy white head. Bright Belgian yeast, cloves, light sugar on the nose. Flavour has a nice Belgian yeast expression, pretty well-dialed in with the carbonation, some bitter herbal notes. Very solid.

Poured from the tap. Hazy gold with white head. Belgian yeast, esters, coriander, a little bit boozy all things considered.

Golden liquid and modest white foam on top. Has a very soft mix of yeast and lemon on the nose. Flavour is subdued yellow yeast with a hint of lemon.medium finish leaning toward dry. Adequate but missing anything memorable.

Bottle courtesy of Craig, consumed at Cropredy, Fairport Conventions Annual Reunion, Cropredy, Oxon, Friday 10th August 2018 shared with Craig, cheers Craig. Gold with a white head, dry at first and then pick up a little funkiness. A jolly decent beer, yeast driven. Nice with a little vanilla. Good stuff. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

On tap at 12 Kings, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out Belgian yeast, some candied sugar, and light booze. Flavour is lightly sweet, with Belgian yeast, candied sugar and esters. Light booze in there, with a moderately sweet, estery finish. Not too sweet and a nice expression of the Belgian yeast. Very solid and reasonably authentic for a local tripel.

Hazy, straw colour, medium head. Aroma is quite estery, lending notes of guava, banana and pear...smells like sticky sweet, too. On the palate it's a bit more balanced, still pretty estery but the malt sweetness is cleaner with a shot of balancing alcohol. Perfumey and a bit candyish, so far from perfect, and that's too bad because drier and cleaner would make for a better beer.

On tap Pours a full amber with moderate head Aromas of creamy banana, mashed stoned fruit, and wheaty malts. Flavors follow same though more fried banana, white pepper and fruity esters. Very Dageraad but quite full and relatively refined. Nice
