Bottle from Northumbrian Gifts. Pale yellow with fizzy carbonation leaving a thin white foam. Aroma of pear drops, wood, sugars, light blossom. Taste of quite floral pear, juicy, tangy and sweet, light sourness in finish. Light to medium bodied, semi-slick, not syrupy. Good.

50cl bottle from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours pale canary yellow, transparent, with no foam. Aroma is generally weak fruity, vaguely of pear. Body and carbonation are average. Taste is medium sweet. The final is fairly dry.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - golden with a green tinge. Steady carbonation. Nose - pear and apple skins. Light wood. Taste - light pear and wood again. Palate - close to medium bodied with a tangy texture. Dry tangy finish. Overall - good.

At a tasting, small quickly dissapearing bubbly head, clear quite pale yellow color, aroma of pear, yeast, sulphur and a hint of horse sweat, flavor of pear, with touches of minerals and sulphur, light sweetness, light to medium sourness. Nice and drinkable.

On draft at Carnival Inn (JDW), Bridgwater. Pours clear pale golden yellow with a fint bubbly head. Aroma: more apples than pears, cooked fruits, minerals. The pears are more apparent in the taste, it's lightly tart citric, sweet pears, apples, hint of gooseberry dryness in the finish. Light body with light carb.

Bottle 500 ml. Clear straw-golden color, almost without foam. Aroma: a little sour, pear, a little farm. Taste: sweetish, pear, slightly sour, pure, drinkable.
