Our take on the classic European amber lager. It has bright reddish highlights and a pronounced bready malt aroma reminiscent of its Austrian counterparts. The flavor plays slightly toward caramel and toasted lager malt but remains balanced and drinkable with a clean finish perfect for a summer session.

This was poured into a pilsener.
The appearance was a nice golden bronzed slightly amber color with a slight transparency about it. Carbonation was seen rising at a nice pace. A one finger white foamy head appears and dissipates within about a minute.
The smell had a nice roasted nuttiness about it with a smooth caramel and toffee upon it.
The taste was mainly sweet with a rolling nuttiness opening up on my taste buds. Lingering nutty to caramel aftertaste leading into a dry nutty finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a light sessionability about it. The carbonation seems good for the style and for me.
Overall, mmmm....good Vienna Lager I’d have again and personally I think this would go great with pepperoni pizza.

12oz bottle. Bright, hazy, unfiltered orange-tan body. Very thin, but steady off-white head. Pretty true to style. Clean, toasty malt. Medium bodied, very drinkable. Has enough of a noble hop bite and balance to give it an upfront bite and stay interesting. Clean, not cloying or sticky at all. Well made, fresh lager.

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, bottled on 7/18/2014. Pours fairly crystal clear golden orange color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of caramel, toast, biscuit, nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of bready malt, earthy hop, and yeast ester notes; with good strength. Taste of caramel, toast, biscuit, nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Light earthy/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, toast, biscuit, nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice robustness and balance of bready malt, earthy hop, and yeast ester flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Incredibly clean in flavors as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice Vienna lager! All around great robustness and balance of bready malt, earthy hop, and yeast ester flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

4oz pour at the Max’s Taphouse Beer Camp event. Pours a clear orange with some cloudy, white head. Nose has a real distinct grainy character, nutty like peanut skins, plenty of yeasty dough, a bit of buttered toast. Flavor is spot on, yeasty bread, flicks of orange, some biscuit. Clean finish. So true to style.

Served on draft at Beer Run. Pours a clear golden color with a medium creamy offwhite head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of toasted malts and floral hops. The taste is toasted malts, bitter hops with herbal and spicy notes. Medium bodied. Strong carbonation. A bit too hoppy.

On tap at the Session Ale Fest at Pizza Port Carlsbad. Pours a light hue for a Vienna, with a off-white head. Aroma is biscuity and malty with a bit of vegital. Taste is grainy and bready with some grassy hops. Nothing special. Medium fizz.
