Offline is the Oedipus version of a Witbier. It has flavors from different grains, Belgian ale yeast and European hops, meaning it is a citrusy, fruity and slightly spicy and refreshing Summer beer.

Tap. Rather clear golden color with white head. Aroma is wheat, peach, apricots. Taste is the same, with a rather bitter finish. Medium carbonation. Ok.

330 ml. Bottle. Bottled 23/03/2017. Near clear golden, soapy white head. Nose is soapy, cleaning product citrus is prominent, raw wheat, grains, green apple,….. Far too carbonated. Overly carbonated green apple, plastic, almost butter, cleaning product citrus, artificial lime,… Taste is weaker than smell. Belgian in all the bad ways, far too carbonated, soap-like esters, green apple, finish is oddly plaster which really lingers, at least it isn’t awfully yeasty. I am not a big fan of witbier, most examples fare poorly and this one is amongst those.

Bottle @ home. Clear golden color, average sized white head. Smell and taste wheat, quite hoppy, lightly citrussy. Not much more to tell. Average body and carbonation. I like it although it’s nowhere near a regular witbier imo.

0.33 l bottle from ’Sterk Avondverkoop’, bottled in March 2017. Hazy, straw yellow with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, quite fruity and moderately yeasty-spicy aroma of lemon peel, pineapple, gooseberry and some banana. Moderately sweet, quite fruity and slightly yeasty-spicy taste of banana, lemon peel, pineapple, gooseberry and hints of peach, followed by a short, moderately bitter, a bit tart, slightly yeasty finish. Medium body, smooth and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Tasty and refreshing!
