A Colorado favorite since 1989, Buffalo Gold is the definitive golden ale. The mild maltiness gives way to a unique floral character generated by a perfect balance of Cascade hops. Our lightest beer in flavor, it’s an easy-drinking beer that still packs a stampede of flavor.

[Tap at Rock Bottom, Denver] A hazy light orange beer with a small white head. The aroma is very light - what is there is hoppy. The flavor is malty with notes of lemon, oranges, and flowers, leading to a dry end. The body is thin.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark golden-amber color with a large yellow-white head. The aroma was tangy, dry and crisp floral hops. The flavor was dry, tangy and had a nice fruity and floral hop presence. A bit grainy and a little zing. Quite nicely quaffable and far better than I expected.

Pour is a bright golden with a small white head. Aroma is hard to detect with some caramel malt and nothing else. Flavor is sweet and a touch fruity with a really weird sour tartness after the swallow. This is boring and that is being kind. Nothing really going on here.

12oz bottle pours deep clear gold with a copper core and thin white head. The aroma is malty sweet and has pine hops edges and mild sweet citrus. I think this beer has some age on it but it tastes mighty good. It starts with a hint of sweet pine and sweet citrus hops while moving slowly toward mildly roasted malts and some bread as the finish approaches. The hops have really rolled over with age.

bottle - Pours hazy gold with a pale malt aroma accented by fruit esters. The flavor is sweet and yeasty with a little hops bitterness in the finish. The sweetness of this beer is almost cloying. Still, it’s not that it’s bad. It’s just not too good either.
