Tap at the brewery. Pretty orange-amber color, hazy, with a thick, fine head. Old-style darker marzen. Caramel and toasty malt nose. Nicely toasty flavor, crisp, crackers and bread, restrained sweetness. Tasty and quaffable.

Tap at Prost - clear dark gold - sudsy, moderate lace - nose of honeyed maltiness, sweetbread, moderate fruity esters, some floral notes - sturdy malt base - a little crackery and moderately bitter up front - some floral hops - some sharp acidity through the middle that is very unwelcome - alcohol is far too apparent, especially in the finish - sharp and not at all as smooth as an ofest should be - disappointing.

Tap @ Prost. Pours a clear dark orange appearance with a fluffy, off white head. Dry, toasty malty, cracker, light caramel, herbal grassy, a bit spicy yeasty aroma that is quite nice. Dry caramel, cracker malty, straw, hay, herbal grassy, lightly sweet, toasty malty flavor. Way less sweetness than most American made Oktoberfest beers which is definitely welcome.
