Dark and full-bodied beer with distinct roasted malt taste and flavor. Heavily hopped and dry-hopped with Galaxy and Jade hops for an extremely intense overall experience. Winner of the beer festival Līgo Ziema 2014. homebrew contest.

Tap at Prague Beer Fest 2025. Very dark brown body, off-white head. Coffee and light lime in the dryish aroma, along with some caramel notes. Sweetish taste, coffee, resin and roast, along with lemony candy, ending bitterish Solid stuff, bit too sweetish for me!

Draught @ Alus Darbnica Labietis, Riga Aroma has marmalade-like fruitiness. Flavour has grapefruit, some toasted notes, mild licorice and raspberries. Hoppy and a bit intense finish with grapefruit and salty-ish licorice. Good, drinkability could be better. Hides the ABV pretty well.

Finally, time to test the best beer from my own country, I will probably lower rating a bit :D Not on video, but based on a checklist, no bonuses :D 0.75 ml bottle, from Centraltirgus. A small explosion on opening. Smell- weak to medium, some malt, roast maybe, a bit of caramel... could be. Foam- medium-thick, roasty, bitter, very soft. Head is large, brown, white color, with nice effect where it turns to beer, seems quite fine, various sizes of bubbles and seems to hold together well, sticky. Appearance- very dark brown, it seems, almost black. Taste- roast, malt, roasted malt, caramel, coffee, bitterness, some weak sweet notes but pushed down by bitter and few alcohol notes. The aftertaste is bitter, malty. Enough to talk about, but not exactly my type, still goes down fine.

On tap at Labietis Centraltirgus, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma brings out a nice wad of espresso and roasted malt, with a healthy piney hop punch. Flavour is rich, with lots of espresso and roasted malt, with smooth, creamy piney hops. Super creamy palate, with impeccable balance between hops and malt. This is fantastic.
