Bottle at home watching Breaking Bad movie. Chestnut colored and a small head. Nose is faint malt and fruit. Tastes of caramel, toast, plum, malt, earth. Not as malty as most in style. Light bodied. Easy drinking and pleasant.

Tap at DC Hamamatsu. Spicy hop nose, caramel malt. Brown-orange color. Rather bland flavor, ok malts, sweet caramel, spicy hops. Doesn’t work as well as their lagers.

On tap at Chuckanut, pours a hazy dark amber orange with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bready malt, some herbal notes, and German lager yeast. Flavour is fairly bland but well-balanced, with a very malty character, with German lager yeast and bready malt. Decently balanced and clean, but pretty boring. Meh.

On Tap at the Bellingham BP Mostly clear chestnut color. Full lasting white head and persistant clinging web-like lacing. Light and clean like a brown but with a little more noble hop bite. Quite dry and refreshing.;

Clear brown color. Aroma is a slightly syrupy sweet malt, then a toasted character under that. A little roasted brown malt character. Flavor has less of the syrup, which is good. Just that sweet character doesn’t work.light body, soft carb.

From tap at Beerfes Tokyo. Brown, thin layer of foam. Looks like I would imagine an alt to look like. Aroma has some slight bitterness to it, some fruits. Taste is soft, slightly bitter, malty. Easygoing and drinkable.
