Pours just slightly hazy golden, topped with foamy white head, medium stable. Pleasant tropical fruity nose with citruses and some pine notes. Medium bitterness with some fruity sweetness. Lasting aftertaste. Lighter body. Nice, gently fruity IPA.

Sans être extraordinaire, cette IPA est tout simplement bonne et bien équilibrée, ce qui est déjà très bien. En verre, joli blond doré limpide. Quasiment pas de mousse toutefois. Le nez est agréable, sur les fruits exotiques (notamment avec l’ananas qui se démarque), les agrumes et une pointe de résineux. L’ensemble fonctionne très bien. L’attaque, sur un bon équilibre présente des arômes de fruits jaunes, d’orange, de miel réhaussés par une pointe de poivre et de résineux. La deuxième bouche est à la fois plus amère et plus épicée avec en complément de l’ananas, de la pêche et de l’orange. L’arrière bouche, sur des arômes linéaires est par contre un peu plus racée sur l’amertume sans que celle-ci soit agressive (IBU de 60 bien dosé). La présence en bouche est pour sa part très correcte. Le final est cependant un peu court mais sur une amertume enlevée et légèrement herbacée. L’alcool à 6,2 % est tout à fait honnête. Bref, on prend simplement plaisir à boire cette IPA.

Sierra Nevada trying to meet the demand for ‘wet hops IPAs’ on a larger scale, by introducing a new technique of steam distilling the hop oil from ultra-fresh hops still at the hop farm, in order to capture the essence of wet hops – a production shortcut, in a way, but then combined with fresh hop cones in this newish IPA, launched in 2015. Creamy, eggshell-white, mousy, medium thick, slowly thinning but overall stable head, equally hazy, straw golden robe with warm apricot hue. Lovely, fresh, bright aroma indeed, pine resin, cedarwood essential oil, grapefruit peel, lychee, ripe melon, orange, dried tarragon, toasted garlic, olive oil, crackers. Fruity onset, notes of apricot and red apple with even sweeter lychee accent, lively and minerally carb, smooth oily mouthfeel. Soft bread crust maltiness drenched in a very oily, resinous, spicy, powdery and drying hop bitterness, a bit quinine-like in the tail but at the same time releasing bright grapefruit, pine, sweet onion and light lychee impressions retronasally. Captures the essence of a wet hops IPA quite well; in general profile, a lovely old school West Coast IPA – a style that may never have existed without this brewery’s key role in popularizing pale ales hopped with New World varieties – but in its sweeter lychee note, still nodding subtly to the current juicy IPA craze. Deliciously classic, expressive Sierra Nevada quality.

Dobra IPA, mocno chmielona i bardzo aromatyczna. Sporo cytrusow mango, grapefruity, gozkie pomarancze, Wyglad nie za piekny, tylko lekko mgliste i niewielka piana, w dodatku nie trwala. Smakowo bardzo zywicznie sprawia wrazenie jakby szyszki jak z oliwek byl z nich wytloczony olejek. Bardzo lepko na jezyku

F: thin, white, quick gone. C: gold, hazy. A: tangerine, orange, tropical fruits, passion fruits, citrus, bit pine. T: light malty backbone, tangerine, pine resin, passion fruits, nice harmonic hoppy bitterness, bit floral, medium body and lower carbonation, very good yet not great, enjoyed, 35,5cl bottle from Carrefour hypermarket in Hazebrouck, France.

Bottle from Pivný raj Oh boy, this is really hop ride. Oily texture with hops all over the place but fortunately not like you are chewing them, in a human, well beer enthusiast way. Very nice. My better half would pour it down the sink I'm sure.

Clear bright golden to deep yellow beer, big irregular white foamy head, stable, bit adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: sweetish, some tropical fruits, orange peel, little off. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty, fruity, lots of mango, sweetish, soft bitterness, some caramel malts. Aftertaste: little bitter, hoppy, bit resinous, mango, sweetish.

Bottle 33 cl. Golden,clear with a white head. Lots of hoppy aroma with some lemon sense. Nice bitter taste with a good hop end.
