Special limited brew for Borefts 2016. A nice refreshing beer, sweet from the apricots with a light bitterness from the almonds. Translates as Sun & Good Times (hard to find a translation for 'gezelligheid' it's like cosy-ness or something :)

Bottled 330ml. -at Pivoteka Zagreb. Unclear golden coloured, small white head, apricot cough like syrup in the nose. Spicy, yeasty, perfumed apricot and alcohol with notes of candy sugar ant touch of salt. Dry finish. Interesting in a way but won’t be second time for sure.

Bottle, 330 ml from Pivoteka. Courtesy of and shared with JFK10000. Pours hazy golden with white head. Great fruity apricot aroma. Taste not so good, bitterish, fruity, spicy, weird. Medium bodied.

Donkergeel bier met schuim. De geur belooft een geweldig bier echter de smaak valt helaas wat tegen. Smaak is ietwat bitter en droog, fruitig en ondefinieerbaar en komt absoluut niet overeen met het geweldige aroma aan abrikoos wat in eerste instantie naar boven komt. De abrikoos komt in de smaak zeer bescheiden terug. Echt jammer want het begon zo mooi met de geweldige geur die dit bier verspreidt.

0.33 l bottle from Pivoteka, Zagreb. Shared with Višnja 666 and Goran. Murky golden, small off-white head. Apricot yogurt, perfumed, alcohol, some hops. Apricot brandy, quite aggressive, mostly dry, yeast present. Medium body, medium carbonation, light fruity apricot finish. Quite aggressive fruity saison, to much peach, but good for a double saison.

Borefts VIII. Keg. Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and smooth but still has decent carbonation. Smooth floral apricot. Banana estere, quite strong, Candy fruits. Light floral fruity finish. Entertainingly different from most saisons.

Bottle. Golden pour. Aroma of apricot candy, sugar, yeast and wheat. Taste has lots of really sweet and sugary apricot, some yeast esther, wheat and a mild spicyness. Highly carbonated. This could have worked with more hops or spices to balance the overwhelmingly sweet apricot. Too bad.

Bottle from Biernavigatie, bottle date 09-09-16 BB 09-09-18, large sample. Hazy golden color, short frothy head. Aroma of lots of apricot, candy, bit flowery hop, slight spicy yeast. Bit candy sweetness in taste, apricot sweetness, slight bitterness, bit spicy. Decent actually, after a lot of de Molen crap lately.

33 cl bottle @ home. Golden/orange color, hazy. White head that immediately disappears. Aroma’s: strong perfumy, apricot, sweet/soft fruit, light sour. Retronasal it’s strange, hard to describe, perfumey, light sour, sweet fruit, apricot-yoghurt. Flavor is light sweet, fruity sourish, a hint of salt. Medium bodied. Finish is long with just a hint of bitterness. Interesting, but not entirely satisfying.
