Bottle, 2014 vintage. Pumpkin spice aroma of nutmeg, clove, cinnamon and allspice as well as having notes of vanilla, caramel, pumpkin, oak, bourbon and booze. Pours deep brown with a thin tan head that has good retention and some lacing. Starts with with caramel, pumpkin, oak and vanilla flavors as well as having a rich, full body and slick smooth mouthfeel. Finishes quite smooth with the flavors of the aforementioned pumpkin spices, bourbon and a fairly heavy amount of warming booze. Great pre-thanksgiving beer.

Bottle. This beer is amazing. I’ve never seen a beer with such high gravity that had such a hugh head. The flavor and aroma was incredible. This was really a nice beer.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a dark, brown color, with a small, beige head. The aroma is allspice, caramel, spiced rum, black pepper, and oak. Sweet and spicy, with a touch of bitterness. Heavy, grainy, and a bit hot. Surprisingly nuanced for the age and abv. Delicious.

Bottle at Beer Temple. 18.8% version. A modest haze on this deep reddish amber beer, decent bubbly pale tan head doesn't hang around for that long. Boozy fruity nose. Light palate, a little dry but good fine carbonation. Sweet malts are kinda subsumed into the overall spicy pumpkin vibe with the bourbon ruling the roost, rich and fruity with boozy cake vibes in abundance. Light semi dry finish. Wow! The best pumpkin beer that has passed these lips ever. The BBA really wrestles control of this one and the huge alcohol is delivered at a percepted level (for me) of 10% absolute max. A great beer experience.

Bottle. 2016 Vintage. Roan brown pour with minimal head that quickly vanishes. Aroma of pumpkin spices; nutmeg, clove, allspice, and cinnamon. There is a bit of oak barreling in the aroma too, but it doesn't come across as a bourbon barrel like the label says, its more like a dark rum barrel. The taste mirrors the aroma--spices, rum like booze, some chocolates, vanilla, brown sugar and rich malts. The spices are applied with a deft hand and do not overpower the concoction. That gives this drink a complex layering. The palate is full viscous and a bit oily. Overall. Had this in a DeMolen tulip glass for breakfast on Halloween and it worked very well. Love a good beer buzz early in the morning. This is really a slow sipping cordial. Paired well with some Gouda and walnuts.

12oz bottle. 2014 vintage. Dark brown, flat pour. Aroma is boozy, pumpkin, sweet. Even boozier in the taste, sweet, woody, pumpkin, brown sugar. Still great after 6 years.

355ml bottle via trade, thanks Arturo, Bottled Nov 7, 2015, checking at 15%.

I bought a Howler of it at Liquor Shed. $25.

It pours a dark brown with reddish hues, small head of foam that shrinks quickly to a ring around the glass. No lacing.

Smells of pumpkin spices, mostly nutmeg, Bourbon, sweet malt, plenty of alcohol. Nothing remotely bitter here.

The taste is not as boozy but there's plenty of warming. Pumpkin spices are working overtime, Bourbon is front and center, wee bit of chocolate and dark fruit, hot. I was told that this was aged 3 years. I can't imagine what it was like fresh.

Fullish bodied, light but not low carbonation.

Sipping good. This will finish my drinking for today.
