“This is a beer that has lost its way, like a young skull with no real identity. An innocent pale beer that wanted more. A strong hoppy IPA that fell in with the wrong crowd, tempted in by the darkness, by the decadence of the imperial stouts. Sweet, thick and roasty, yet high on hop aroma and flavour. This is something you have never tried before, and possibly should never try. But you will, you will give in to temptation, and you will succumb to its influences, come to the dark side.
Drink fresh for a big hop hit from the Simcoe, Citra, Pacific Gem and Columbus dry hops. But a complex malt backbone including chocolate malt, roasted barley, oats and what, along with honey and molasses, means this beer will age well.”

Tap at Kitty’s, Helsinki. Almost opaque black color, decent brownish head, lace. Aroma has citrusy hoppyness, rye and toasted notes. Medium-bodied. Bready with licorice and citrusy & herbal hoppyness. Robust. Hides ABV well. Dangerous.

Almost black, a head is medium and light brown. Aroma is weird mix of liquirice, bread, roastiness and coconut fat. Hops are milder and piney with notes of citrusfruits. Anyway, pleasant aroma. Taste is also nicely balanced. Roastiness, coffee, some pine needles and salt. Medium bitterness that is presented more in the end and it’s long lasting with pine. Pleasant palate, smooth and almost full bodied. Quite personal beer with the great balance and smoothness.

Black pour with a solid big creamy beige head. Nice lacing. Coffee, rich fruity, pine and grapefruit hoppy aroma. Full body. Tad sweet and a fine bitterness. Soft carbonation with a oily texture. Coffee, chocolate, roasted, resinous and grapefruit hoppy flavor. Tasty little horny devil. Well masked alcohol.

Bottle at home thanks to olliejobbins. Black with nice full beige head, looks inviting... Lots of aromatic hops at first with resin, grapefruit, lemon rind. Nice spices going into dark chocolate and rye bread, Nutella, porridge. Bitter through your with light sweetness mid way. Alcohol is well hidden. Full bodied with very creamy feel. Nice one!

Opaque black beer with a thin beige head and a tangy, hoppy aroma. Flavour is tangy fruit with sharp, bitter hop and a touch of malt coming through as well. It’s really well balanced as the fruit could easily have been a bit sickly if not for the other flavours to counter it a bit.

Nicely integrated and dangerously light tasting. Pours dark brown/black with ok head and lacing. Light bitter finish. Some caramel, roast and a touch of citrus. Faint hint of licorice. Tap at Churchkey.
