Tap at the first Keyaki. Good stuff, milky chocolate, bit of spice, light roastiness, maybe even a hint of coffee. Very nice. Hint of citrus in the light hoppiness.

Tap @ iBREW Shimbashi. Quite dark brown pour, some lighter brown forming a nice foamy top. Nose is lightly nutty, bit of roast with slightly tart notes. Taste has good base level roast, nutty malty base with medium bitterness. Quite good balance actually there, creamy dark fruits with a touch of hops. Nutty bitter linger in the finish. Well balanced and satisfying.

Bottle thanks to Mick. Pours a cloudy brown color with a small white head. A big sweet toast and chocolate pine nose. The flavor is big fruity hops, toast, toffee, chocolate. Quite good.

Bouteille 33cl, merci à KansaiBeerLvrs - Phil pour m’avoir présenté ce bel effort nippon. De couleur brune foncée, col crémeux blanc-cassé. Arôme offre un bouquet malté grillé assez plaisant, retrouve des effluves houblonnées en rétro-nasal et qui laissent s’échapper des notes d’agrumes. Le tout reste axé sur un savant mélange alternant cara pâle, grillé, et fruité. Palais est ici aussi porté sur une base malt modéré mais offrant de belles notes de grillé, caramel avec une amertume rappelant les houblons type C américains. Le tout penche plus vers une inspiration type Black IPA dont le fini agrumes voire citronnelle sont agréables. L’effervescence demeure moyenne-haute avec sur la fin une petite pointe herbacée qui relève l’amertume.

On tap at the Shirokita Park Fest. So sexy brown is a pizza port & Shiga Kogen collaboration brew. It pours a deep matte brown with a dank pine hop bouquet complemented with some chocolate notes. Medium bodied with a bitter slightly mouth puckering finish. The taste is hop forward with just mild roasty chocolate notes peeking through. Quite good, is this supposed to be a Black IPA?

Tap at Keyaki Spring 2015. Dark brown with a fine, low head. Nose of chocolate, citrus, earthy hops. Nice hoppy brown ale nose. Some caramel in the flavor and a peppery finish. Full but crisp and quite bitter. Good stuff.

medium dark brown color. Sweet chocolate malt nose with modest hoppiness. Hoppy body with excellent chocolate malt character. Full bodied. Smooth. Long, slightly bitter chocolate finish. Excellent.
