Craftheads. Soft and smooth. Aroma is chocolate, bit of sweetness, roasty and oaty. Taste is good. Easy drinking, chocolate. Dark fruits. Nice.

Tap at Craft Heads Y. Market taptakeover event. Huge chocolate nose with roasted malt and light coffee notes. Some light smoke that comes out as it warms. Big roasted cacao nib notes stand out after a bit of time. Body is thin and porter like, but pretty good complexity for the style. Dry finish with some roasted notes. Very solid. --- Beer merged from original tick of Night Bishop on 11 Mar 2016 at 20:48 - Score: 7

Tap at Tadgβs. Murky black with a low head. Nose is rather intense cocoa and chocolate, a bit of coffee. Flavor is chocolate, coffee, not much hop presence at all. A bit thin in the body as well. An average porter. The new version of the Gate 7 is much better.
