(Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 17 Feb 2016) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, spicy nose with notes of ginger, orange peel, caramel and candied ginger. Fruity, herbal taste with ginger, orange, candy sugar and a fairly sweet finish with a soapy ginger character. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Interesting and spicy, with a lot of ginger, but it still works quite well. Quite nice.

On tap at the Shirokita Park Fest. It pours a beautiful copper gold. The nose is a lovely enticing ginger. The smooth medium body gives you earthy sweet ginger with a round carbonation. The taste is earthy ginger with a bit of biscuit and lemon. Quite nice.

22 oz. bottle, pours a dark golden with a small white head. Nose brings out lots of ginger root upfront, with a little candied sugar. Flavour brings out lots of dry ginger root, with a dry toasted bready malt backing. Nothing special, but it's competent. Meh.

Bottle at Imazato. Cloudy orange, lacy. Nose is ginger, orange and peach, bready malt. Prickly ginger flavor, rather sweet, stone fruits, somewhat thick. Meh.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has earthy grain and hay with an underlying light ginger note. Flavor has same earthy grain and hay with a sweet ginger note in the finish.

Crisp, crystal clear golden coloured body with a thick, three centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of ginger (surprise), malt, alcohol, caramel and a hint of earth and floral notes. Light-bodied; Sharp ginger flavour with a hint of malt, some light sugars and an overly spicey finish showing some warmer notes. Aftertaste shows the ginger front and centre, some malt, some earth and a little sugar - not much else. Fairly one dimensional and spicey. Overall, not a bad beer, but not great...but it’s labeled perfectly: Ginger Beer. Period. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Olive Tree Market Place in San Diego, California on 05-May-2012 for US$4.49 sampled at home in Washington on 04-October-2012.
