Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark golden color with a huge foamy yellow-white bead that lingered forever and left exceptional lacing. The aroma was dryish, musty, chalky and had a perfume note. The flavor was dry, bitter, musty and yeasty with a strong perfume presence. Very long finish. Medium body. Not good.

Draught at the brewpub. Pale golden color, a bit cloudy, with lace. Fruity, earthy nose, a bit funky. Apricot, apple, pineapple. Sweet citrus flavor (rosehips?), tangy, spicy, herbs are not overdone. Good.

Location: Sampled at TapNY, 4/26/14
Aroma: The nose is has some tart lemon, Belgian yeast, spice, and floral notes
Appearance: It pours a hazy yellow-gold color with a white head and plus lacework
Flavor: The taste is light and yeasty, spice, and a good amount of tart fruit
Palate: It has a light but not watery mouthfeel, with a tingly spice, and a tart finish
Overall Impression: I found this one to be a pretty interesting and tasty offering. A nice, refreshing beer. Certainly worth trying.
