Brilliant white foaming head on a well carbonated clear pale amber coloured body. Cigarette, grain & ashtray aroma. Medium bodied, foamy sharp & clean with a dry back. Grain, cereal, dry crackers & wheat tastes with mildly fruity backbone. Standard.

5,0% alk. Teško da se može jako pogriješiti kod odabira njemačke pšenične pive. Ovo je za one koji ne vole mutnoću regularnog pšeničnog, zato se i zove kristallweizen. Solidna piva.

500ml bottle, online from Beers of Europe. Pours clear pale gold with a healthy white cap. Aroma: overripe banana, light honey. Taste: light sweet & bitter, dry, light bready, hints of clove and banana. Light to medium body with frothy carbonation. Nothing special.

500ml bottle from Beers of Europe: BB 10th Dec 2021. Poured into an old HB Munchner Kindl Weiss Glass at home on 24th Jan 2021. Don't see this style of Weissbier very often, this is only my tenth I believe since I started recording my drinking habits (from memory I might have had a couple in the 1970's/80's). Anyway this is a decent example of the style without getting too excited about it. Clean and clear golden body, huge white head. Light banana and wheat front to the nose and taste, slight herbal twist, yeasty feel also.

0.5 l bottle from Vrutak, Zagreb. Clear as can be, sparkling, small creamy white head. Malty, grainy aroma, some metal. Soft banana and other fruit. Dust. Thin body, moderate to high carbonation. Light malty, metallic and banana flavours. Slightly softens down in the finish. No complexity. Light finish.

One of the most regular kristalweisses i've had. It is seemingly like a mix of helles and weissebier, but filters. Not a lot of the typical bananas-clove taste. Yet still super clean and good. Sommel Dresden
