Tap at CBM Jinbocho. Aroma is just like their golden but with sakura (no surprise I guess!) Real ale malty feel. Quite sweet, sakura again. Very seasonal, but maybe not for me.

Clear golden color. Massive Sakuramochi nose. Very malty tons of Sakuramochi in the mouth very malty and very strong character but fairly simplistic. Fairly dry. Lingering Sakuramochi finish. A bit one dimensional, but unique and certainly not bad. Glad I had it once and happy to have it again next year, but not a beer I would drink regularly.

Tap at Bungalow. Clear, dark gold with a fine, low head. Rather faint nose of sakuramochi, grassy, leaves, cherry, confectionary sugar. Starts off sweet and chewy like the rice cakes wrapped in pickled cherry leaves, almost gets to cloying but then, wham! a big bitterness comes in and cleans everything up. Crisp and clean with a bit of residual grains. Did not think I would like it at first, but I enjoyed it immensely.
