Old rating from 26-12-15 - A 330ml bottle poured into a De Struise glass. Amber in colour with carbonation and a white foamy head that disperses. Quite surprises it wasn't a dark colour. Aromas of chololate & sweet malt. Taste is dominated by chocolate and some vanilla, with a golden lager flavour in the background with a mild bitterness. Aftertaste of chocolate. Overall worth a try, but I would avoid a second bottle.

Bottle from a local Lidl. Aroma is pale malt with powdery chocolate, vanilla, and notes of marshmallows. Flavour is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is light to medium. I did not expect to enjoy this one, but it kinda works.

Bottle 0,33ltr: Clear golden colored brew with an slightly bitter taste and an overwhelming milk chocolate aroma, flavor and hints. But must say this works well with this beer, and the English know to make this kinds of generally.

Bottle from the Lidl. Blonde. Milk chocolate and a hint of cocoa in the aroma. Malty, chocolate and floral notes in the flavor. Not really pleasant.

13.03.2015, 0,33l bottle @ home:
Small bubbly shortlasting head. Aroma is kind of strange sweet grainy, artificial sweetener, wet grain, hay, caramel, hints of sweet white chocolate. Taste is sweet and harsh, artificial sweetener, cardboard, wet hay, wet grain, minerals, paper, weeds, hints of chocolate. Little bitterness, harsh watery mouthfeel. Crap!

Bottle from the brewery. Sweet aroma - chcolate and floral yeasty lager. Muted gold. Bubbly white head soon fades. Initial light lagery bitterness is smoothed out by the slightly sweeter chocolate bitterness, if that makes sense. However as p.a. my first taste of this a few years ago, this just results in a slightly off chemical cardboard taste. Thin. Slick. Soft fizzy carbonation. Long if muted finish. More interesting than a standard pale lager but it's an odd tasting pale lager. Doesn't do it for me.

330ml bottle at home. Bought it more for a joke than anything. Its not bad though, I couldnt have more than one...way too sweet. One of those beers where the look of it doesnt match the flavour...should be a brownish to black stout like Youngs Double Chocolate or something. No sense in trying to analyse this one too much, its basically all milk chocolate aroma and flavour. Interesting

Geel bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is verrassend, licht zoet met overduidelijk chocolade met iets van vanille. Combinatie bevalt best goed.
