Tap at Devil Craft Hamamatsucho. Liquorice, fruity porter like aroma. Taste has bit of coke, touch of smoke, little bit of sweetness. Can't get the oatmeal. Pretty boozy. Cherry.

Big caramel, booze and lighter roast. Initial aroma is good but elements mismatch a little. Boozy sweet and blackish pour with OK head and lacing. Tap at Seattle Taphouse grill.

Poured into a snifter, the appearance was a dark brown almost brown color with a nice looking foamy creamy colored head. Nice foamy stringy lace.
The aroma had some sweet milk chocolate, gentle roast and some toast.
The flavor took all of those previously mentioned aromas to blend very nice. Quick dry ruggedly sweet aftertaste roaming into the finish in a semi-creamy sort of way.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a nice sipping quality about it. Low carbonation assisting a nice creamy smooth feel along my tongue. ABV felt spot on.
Overall, nicely done imperial stout, but I didn’t get a whole lot of oatmeal, if any. Still, I’d have this again.

Full of chocolate, roasted malts, light burnt malt. Creamy smooth body that has a lightly dry finish. A well made Imperial.

Tap at Garage 39. Shiny black with a pretty, fine head. Nose of chocolate, milk, coffee. Nice. Sweet, fruity flavor, milky, creamy, chocolate and berries. Strong, with lots of berries and fruit. Tasty stuff.

On tap at World Craft Tasting 2013 in Osaka. 9.5% A wonderful dark black pour with a beige head & an incredibly chocolatey aroma. It has a full mouthfeel & the taste is chocolate, some oak notes which is then followed by some roasty bitter coffee flavors. It is a touch boozy but is overall a really nice imperial stout.

Draught at the brewpub
Black color, with beige creamy head. Mild but nice aroma of roasted malts and coffee. Some roasted malt flavor, very light sourness, not too dry, some oatmeal presence, but that’s pretty much all.
Not really Imperial flavor, maybe just the alcohol.

On tap. Pours black with little head. Aromas of black coffee and dark fruit. Flavors of bitter coffee and dry dark chocolate. Very dry and bitter with the edge softened slightly by the oatmeal.

Sample at the Tap House Grill in Seattle. This beer pours a dark brownish black color with a medium thin tan head that diminishes quickly to a film. Patches of lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, hops and coffee. Light-bodied with a roasty character of coffee and malt. Mild hops in the background. The finish is sweet with a chocolate malt aftertaste. Above average overall.

Draught @ The Alibi Room, Vancouver, BC
Pours pitch black with a nice smooth beige head. Aroma has notes of coffee, chocolate and roasted malts. Taste is smooth with notes of oatmeal, roasted malts and coffee. Long lasting finish of malts and chocolate. Okay imperial stout, but nothing special.
