(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 17 Feb 2016) Hazy yellow colour with frothy, white head. Malty, spicy nose with notes of white bread, juniper berries and coriander. Malty, spicy taste with white bread, juniper berries, coriander, hay and a gentle grassy bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Interesting and quite spicy, on the sweet side. Quite nice.

Bottle from het Biermoment, BB 31Aug16, large sample. Pretty clear golden color, medium frothy head. Quite spicy in aroma, coriander, clove, banana, orange, juniper. Quite grainy as well. Strange that spelt and wheat together with a weizen yeast give a clear beer, so they have definitely filtered and used a different bottle yeast. Why? Anyway, pretty spciy and grainy in taste as well, sweet creamy banana, slight bitter juniper. Its basically what you expect from a (kristal)weizen with these added ingredients. Well brewed as you might expect from a large brewery as Lindeboom as well. Decent brew.

33cl Bottle from Vonk. Brewed at Lindeboom, thank God not at NHB. Hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of clove, banana, yeast, light citrusy (probably the juniper). Flavour is medium sweet, light citrus, banana, yeast, clove, light herbal bitterness. Light bodied. Easy and decent Weizen, don’t get much of the promised gin spices except for cloves.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus and Ansjelaah. Hazy pale yellow color, small off-white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, a bit like a saison, slightly zesty and something weird that I contribute to the gin herbs. Average to decent body and carbonation. Hmm ok but not my thing.
