Great to be first up on an Evil Twin IS. They know how to make an imperial stout. A black body topped by a deep, dense tan head. The chocolate fudge element is here, mimicking the Biscotti Break IS series. Slightly bitter coffee, roasted malt and a hint of cherries add to the sumptuous flavour. The taste is relatively dry for a big IS and there is more carbonation than most, fluffing up the taste and helping to extend it. It has a lovely thick, rich and velvety mouth feel nonetheless.

Tap@Himmeriget, Copenhagen - black pour with beige head. Roasted and sweet malty, pretty spicy, some caramel and toffee notes, slight charred malty, cocoa, pretty vineous, overt sweet coming in, pretty warming boozy into the finish.

From tap at BeerTemple, Amsterdam. Aroma is dark roasted malt, big chocolate fudge, cocoa, caramel, chocolate cake, some coffee. Flavour is sweet with a decent bitterness in the finish and some boozy notes. Body is full. Tasty with its rich layers of chocolate.

A few years old. Black with a lasting tan head. Aroma of caramel, fudge (yes!) and vanilla with hints of prunes, raisins and rum. Sweet, light roasted flavour with liquorice, fudge and dried fruit.. Roasted bitterness and alcohol warmth show up in the aftertaste and balance the sweetness quite nicely. Evil Twin are very, very good at this kind of beer.

Bottle shared at Cotteridge Convention 2017. Cheers! Pours black-brown with a foamy, tan head. Fun snout, with notes of light coconut, chocolate, soft roast. Medium to big sweet flavour with notes of light roast, smoke, raisins, more chocolate. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with light smoke, mellow warmth, scorched earth. Good stuff overall.

Bottle from Borresteijn, thanks! Toffee, roast and licorice in the aroma, full bodied, thick mouthfeel. Malty sweet flavor with lots of salted licirice, caramel and roast. It's big, alcoholic and sweet, but not overly complex.
