Smak och doft av mörk bitter choklad, kakao, rostad malt, torv med toner av fat, lakrits och blåa bär. Kärv, bitter men ändå rund i smaken. Fin beska och bra balans. Mycket gott!

A black beer, a head is medium and beige. Aroma has salt liquorice and liquorice, less chocolate and dried dark fruits, hint of alcohol. Taste has salt liquorice, drying bitterness, some dried fruitness. Almost full bodied. Straightforward, I like this.

Bottle 650ml @ Gunnfryd
Pours black with tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, licorice and alcohol. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long warm, roasted, licorice, caramel and chocolate finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle, 22oz. A black beer with a nice finger-thick dark beige head. Fudge, toffee, dark chocolate, molasses and licorice in the aroma. Alcohol too, in a not too boozy way. Toffee, dark chocolate, molasses and licorice in the flavor too. Alcohol warmth, soft carbonation and a full body. Semi-sweet. Lasting warming finish with a nice sweetness along with fudge, toffee and roasted malts. Too warming this one, but with lots of nice aromas and flavors. 181229

Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light and mildly dry, reasonable fine minerally carbonation. Sweet but thin dark malts, some slighty bitterish Creme Brulee. Esters are much more dominant than I would prefer. Touch of dark chocolate before a Slightly mar tangy finish. Not hitting the mark for me. Too thin, tangy and estery.

Bottle. A- Chocolate, booze. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Roasty, dry, cocoa, bitter, booze. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly bitter finish. O- At least 2 years of age and not sure it helped this one, but maybe it took off a bit of edge. Still quite boozy and bitter. Not as chocolatey or sweet as I hoped. Okay, but underwhelming.
