Hazy gold - amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and smooth with decent fine carbonation. Airy and creamy sweet malts. Nice citric hops, little hop sting too. Rich orange here with some grapefruit and citric peel. Mild floralness. Smooth semi dry finish. Very drinkable DIPA.

22oz bomber pours with a nice opaque deep gold body that has a copper core and supports a near white head. The aroma offers up a mix of juicy smelling mango and tangelo and pineapple and then it gets into some resiny pine hoppiness. The taste starts with a mix of resiny pine hops and citrusy orange hoppiness. Toward midway it picks up spicy onion like hoppiness just as it starts to pick up some citrus hop juiciness. It attains mainly a blend of citrusy hops and resiny pine hops that are just not working together 100%. Itβs fine and tasty but it doesnβt come together perfectly.

Bottle thanks to Bob! Pours a hazy deep orange with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of grapefruit and resin with a hint of underlying sweet citrus. Flavor starts with bitter grapefruit and has a growing sweet citrus note as well as a touch of pine.

Bomber from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours light amber with a creamy off-white head. Mixed fresh citrus came as the cap left, and the pour smells of light caramel and lots of citrusy zest. Med body or better. It starts with instant hop burn, shows a little caramel, does citrus then moves on to zest and mixed citrus fruit. Finishes dry and bitter. And citrus. Wow.

Bottle. I really loved their DIPA, so I had high hopes for this one as well. Pours clear amber orange with a medium off-white head that dissipates slowly with nice lacing. Aroma is very herbal, some grapefruit and floral notes. Flavor is the same, lightly sweet, light bitter, somewhat spicy and herbal. Medium body. Not really doing it for me.

thanks to Tim for the bottle. From the moment I read about this beer I REALLY wanted to try it. This brewery does awesome fruit additions in beer and the combination with a double IIPA seemed like a perfect fit. Bomber pours hazy orange with darker reddish hues and a big medium fluffy white head that laces well. The aroma is big and layered with citrus fruit, orange, acidic lemon and grapefruit with rind and zest as well. Flavor is big citrus again but there is a definite malt back bone creeping that balances things nicely. Some caramel, some doughy and pale. Nice through and through. The finish is a mixture of big juicy flavorful citrus hops and some hop bitterness that is in the realm of grapefruit or orange rind. Really nice beer, I hope they do this one again!
