This one is more classical than the boundary, decent ipa, similar with the brewdog punk ipa, a personal impression, resinous, a bit sweet, a final a bit fruity, touch of pineapple. On the train to Biel and Courgenay, I wish you a good year 😊, 31.12.20

Draught from Cascabel Tacos on UES, manhattan. Poured a dark orangish brown w/moderate head. Some caramel and nuttiness to go with hops finish. I liked.

Notes from October 2009 32oz growler, boring pint glass. Having nearly spent my accumulated tolerance for all things hoppy these past few months, the sample I had of this stuck me as a bit more then generic. The price was pretty good too. Something like $4, maybe a touch less. Perfect inch of soapy off-white head. Clear, toasty golden body. I see that there's some sediment down there. Next fill gets a good swirl first. A puzzling, yet invigorating combination of bittergreen tree bark, Wrigley's Juicy Fruit gum, menthol, & just a little toast. Not great, but I could probably pick this one out of a lineup form now on. Taste is more toasty then grassy, though the bitterness lingers & masses into a bit too much menthol & pine. A bready sweetness that is very clean & dry & refuses to completely go away. A touch of green apple sharpens it up. A little copper becomes noticeable as the second glass begins to wear on you. No sappiness in this one. Carbonation is a touch better then average, but not biting. It's warming, but the alcohol remains in check & doesn't rush to the front. I was pretty let down by their Watermelon Wheat, but this one stands pretty solidly in a saturated field. :)

Can. Pours gold orange. Grain, little bitterness, citrus, toffee, little twang. Medium body. Fine.

Can from Stone Mad Pub, Cleveland, OH. A pretty run of the mill, yet still great quality, American IPA that punches with those west coast hops. Great summer patio drink.
