bottle - Pours amber-brown with a thin tan head. It has a nice caramel malt aroma. The flavor is the expected sweet caramel nut malt with minimal hops. It’s light bodied and could use more to it, but let it warm up for awhile and it holds up decently.

Bottle. LIve one. Zoomed out of the bottle. Almost vinous aroma, definitely chocolate. Very dark brown color with a two or three finger fluffy head. Flavor starts very chocolate. Moves on to a bit of malt. Whole wheat bready sort of drink. Finish is pretty well balanced. Not getting particular hop, but it is not really sweet. Sort of a nutty light porter kind of thing. Really good, whatever it is.

12 oz bottle from Dansting. Pour is ruby red brown with a big dirty white head. Clear pour. Aroma is sweet caramel malt, with a slight bit of fruit (apple?) Taste has the sweet caramel plue a really nice roastiness to it. Nice medium to full body, yet is very smooth and drinkable. I appreciate you lugging these beers back for me Dan.

Pour is a dark brown with a average tan head. Aroma is deffinatly nutty with some caramel malts and brown sugar. Flavor is a bit weaker that the aroma but it has some bready qualities and the hops show up more in the aftertaste. Yea its pretty good.

Surprisingly good considering the median score of 2.7. Light brown/red, lots of carbonation and a thin head. Smells like a dunkel, lots of malt and rotting fruit. Flavor is also much like a dunkel as well as qualities of a nut brown ale. There is more sweet malt, carmel and roasted nuts as well. At the top of its class for a traditional brown ale.

Not really a brown ale- MBC Nut Brown is closer to an amber ale. Pours a clear red-brown, with a thin off-white head. Nutty aroma is deceptive; the flavor is actually cerealy and bready with a touch of fruit, finishing with grassy hops. Nutty flavors are toned down. Confusing as a brown ale but perfect as an amber.

Draft, at MBC taproom. Well, I should give it a higher rating just to help it up after they fixed their initial problems, but this still needs a little work. I'm used to nut browns having a much more complex flavor profile, and this just wasn't there. There is a fine, slightly toasty aspect to its fine brown frame, and just a peek of nuttiness. They seem to be working on it with each batch. But the friendly atmosphere at their taproom makes it all worht the trip.
