50cl pours a murky amber, cloudy white head.  Nose of black tea and lemon, raisins, treacle, brandy.  Flavor has a little port, raisin, black tea with lemon, treacle.  Smooth finish.  7 3 8 3 13

Flaska från SB. Något mörkare guld/rostfärgad med tät smutsvit krona. Maltsötma, bränt socker, russin, torkad frukt, fruktkaka, lätt mjuk beska. Fina ålderstecken, snäll kartongton, lite djupare vinösa/dessertvinston.

Bottle, thanks Jay. Boozy and fruity, yeasty, almonds. Nice stuff. My first one of these and I enjoyed it, but my notes are scant.

Flaska från SB. Mer mogen och sötfruktig smak jämfört med andra årgångar. Mycket russin, fikon och fruktkaka. Gott

0.5 l bottle from 'Rudat', cellared for almost two-and-a-half years. Clear, deep reddish amber with a thin, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently fruity, minimally floral-spicy aroma of strawberry jam, candied cherries, molasses and traces of tea. Rather sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently fruity and a little resiny-grassy taste of molasses, strawberry jam, candied cherries and some pine, followed by a medium long, gently bitter, quite resiny finish. Medium to full body, smooth, slightly creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very pleasant, especially well-balanced with a nicely hoppy character.

2nd attempt at rating. Clear amber beer, good pale tan head. Airy palate, semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Mellow malts, little caramel and cream. Touch of toffee. Ripe fruits. Trace of brandy. Light finish. Hmmm - not beating its breast with big flavours, even a little subdued perhaps, but the flavours eventually win you over with their charm and integration.
