A dark brown, top-fermented ale yeast, hopped and mixed with a special type of mild malt gives this richly coloured ale a unique, surprisingly smooth and mild taste. Contains distinctive chocolate and caramel notes. The draught version is a smooth and creamy version and is also available in cans, possible through an inbuilt widget technology that releases just the right amount of nitrogen to create the perfect surge and distinct smooth and creamy finish, which has previously only been available on draught in selected outlets across the island.

Nitro can. Amber with a dense 2cm head. 3+ Rather indistinct aroma of caramel, spices, some cardboard notes. Tastes better than it smells with clean mild bready and caramel sweetness, a teensy bit of roast, gentle spicy bitterness. Just about OK.

Bottle bought from the National Brewery Centre, Burton-upon-Trent. Reddish bronze with the tiniest layer of off-white head. Light aroma of sweet malt and citrus peel. Taste has a gluey sweetness which fades leaving an astringent hoppy bitterness. Tangerine and kumquat with gluey resin in the aftertaste. Not great, but not too bad actually. Enjoyed well enough.

Draught @ The Fat Harry’s, St. Paul’s Bay, Malta. Pours hazy amber with creamy, stable off-white head. Clear aroma of yeast and caramel malt, with faint touches of hops. Sweetish flavourbof hops and yeast, with bitter notea of hops. Bitter and eatery aftertaste. Watery but drinkable.
