Power, strength, virility… these are the values of Bracongo's oldest dark beer, Doppel Munich. Its subtle balance between a pleasant taste and a pronounced bitterness, rewards the strongest after a hard day's work. Doppel Munich is present in several African countries where it represents the African worker each time.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers GB! Poured with quite a large fizzy beige head that quickly dissipated into a very thin coating over the top. Aroma of berries, cherries, caramel. Still quite carbonated but quite a pleasant caramel fruity taste, but does not linger long. If less carbonated it would be better.

11th June 2019; Shrewsbury Beer Exchange meeting in Chez Sophie, cheers to me for finding this in London and sharing with four like minded friends! 650ml bottle, amber bodied, off-white head with lacing to follow. Malty and pretty sweet from start to finish, a bit one dimensional, but you'd never guess it was brewed in Africa.

Bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, June 19, thanks Jeremy for bringing this back from the big city. Hazy brown appearance, frothy off-white head. Grainy nose. Taste is grainy dark malt, some distant chocolate grain. Surprising to see this style being brewed here, and it's not too shabby.
