ROUNDED & FRUITY. Grimbergen Rouge, flavoured with red fruits, subtly combines the character of an abbey beer with the sweetness and notes of strawberry, cranberry and elderberry. Its purple colour with intense reflections and its slightly pink foam indicates a unique flavour.

A beer that you can forget, good to kill the insects of your garden, industrial taste of juice of carrot, too sweet, artificial side of red fruit, malt, extract of hop, disgusting, 13.09.2020, drinking it at the Guillaume's flat Bonne-Espérance, Lausanne, buying it at the coop of this area.

0.5 l can from a random French shop. Deep ruby color, thick, long lasting pink head. Strawberry and cranberry in aroma and taste with sour finish. Short finish, light body, soft carbonation. Refreshing.

Bottle 33 cl. POurs a clear red with a slightly pinkish head. Berry like fruit aroma. Medium body, sugary sweet berry notes, yet the sweetness manages to not be a sticky sort. Not all that beery. 040321

Bottle. Pours nearly clear ruby with airy pinkish head. Clear aroma of fruit and yeast, with some malty touches. Sweetish flavour of malt, yeast and strawberry jam (somewhat artificial), with bitter touches of hops. Estery and jammy aftertaste with bitter touches. Well, nothing special about this macro fruit beer but it is drinkable.

Bottle, 6%. Mild berry aroma. Seemingly hazy deep red colour. White to pink head. The flavour is quite sweet and sugary with a mild and well-rounded berry note, but not extremely sweet. Some beer flavour in the finish, and fortunately not too bitter.

bottle. clear red fruity red, smooth pink head. aroma of red fruits and a little bit of red fruit marmelade, but not too sweet. flavor is ordinary fruit beer, a bit watery, the beer ins certanly not lambic, but generic belgian beer, coming to think of it, generic belgian beer goes better with fruits than the stuff they put into a radler kind of beer. tastes like a fruit sodapop but with some beer and alc bitterness and the texture you would expect from a beer. certanly a drink to divide people, some will probably find it okay to good, some will really, really dislike it. Personally i much prefer the more citrussy lambic based belgian fruit beers. For a non-sour fruit beer this one is just as good as all the other ones out there.
