Black pour, thin head. Nose is roasty, dark chocolate, some smoke, a spicy touch. Taste is low spice, dark chocolate, molasses, sweet booze. Medium sweet sugary/boozy finish, light body, soft carbonation. Too light, no trace of the advertised smoke and sorta empty altogether. Still pretty drinkable tho.

Bottle from Lekkerbier, Sint Nicolaasga. Aroma is very roasty with dark chocolate, ash, liquorice, rye. Pretty bitter flavour, moderate to medium sweet. Medium body. Chalky and bitter, roasty, nice.

Draft. Black beer with a tan head. Caramel and light smoke aroma. Caramel and salt flavor with smoke and light chocolate. Medium bodied. Caramel and salt linger with smoke and light chocolate.

Bottle - pours a fizzy black with no head, looking a bit like cola - richly smoky flavor, with a lot of savory and umami character, some from the salt and some from the black malts - earthy/leathery - dry and deeply smoky finish - tasty.

Tap at Komachi. Lovely pitch black, shiny. Nose is chocolate, berries, creamy and savory like soy sauce or soup stock. Smooth, heavy, fujll body. Decent savory stuff but a pint was a struggle.

Bottle. Pitch black body under a small, dense beige head. Aroma of dark, roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. Taste is pleasant dark malt, chocolate, coffee and umami. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste. A solid and tasty porter.

KØLF 040920. Black color with a brown head. Aroma is nsmoked, coffee, chocolate. Flavor is roasted malt, coffee, licorice, bread, mushroom, burnt, smoked, coffee, sugar, chocolate. Complex nice beer.

Bottle at a tasting. Full body, moderate carbonation. Loads of chocolate, light coffee, moderate beech smoke. High sweetness, moderate complementary bitterness of roast origin. I do not get any mushrooms tbh, but that is probably going to be a good thing. Rich rewarding sipper. Very good.
