19/9/2020. Bottle at the Prague GP bottle-share, from Two Brews Colchester. Pours black with a small frothy tan coloured head. Aroma of chocolate, nut, coffee, toffee, roasted malt. Moderate sweetness, medium roasted bitterness. Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation.

Bottle. Black color with beige head. Aroma is smoke, chocolate, mild salt, smells like it will have umami. Taste is salty chocolate, quite earthy, smokey, booze, warming finish, quite a lot of umami in the back, probably from the mushrooms. Oily mouthfeel with a mineraly bite. Perhaps a bit too dry, but the flavours are great!

330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Storsteinnes. Shared with Finn. A bubbly tan-coloured head with good duration. Rustic-black body, spotty lacing. Inviting smell of smoked malts, hints of herbs. Salty and mid-sweet malty flavours, chocolate and caramel, woody and maybe a mushroom touch. Rounded mid-sweet malty end, warming. Fine depth. Pleasant Baltic stout, not too sweet. (Session at Bergstua, Malangen 19.06.2020).

Delt med Rune på Bergstua. Svart. Lavt mokkafarget skum. Forsiktig sjokoladearoma. Smaken lettrøkt malt. Litt lakris i avslutning. Sopp? Joda - når en er gjort oppmerksom på det.

Bottle picked up from Biervana, München and consumed at home Attenkirchen, watching Bird Box and then Nightcrawlers on Netflix. Pours black with a creamy textured off white/cappuccino coloured head. Super indulgent, smooth, creamy mouthfeel, layers of chocolate, a little vanilla, coffee, however not getting the mushroom. There is a touch of salt and a light nod to savoury, whatever is in this and I suspect a lot of ingredients, it's wonderful.

Bottle at home. Pours black with little lasting head. Aroma is earthy, dark malts, caramel, chocolate. Medium body. Flavour is quite sweet and malty, with a decent amount of smoked malt being noticeable. Dark malts give notes of chocolate and licorice and some caramel. This is followed by loads of earthy and salty notes from the mushrooms - very concordant flavour combinations. Finishes smokey and bittersweet. Lovely stuff.
