This beer sounds like everything I hate ! Pours black, tanned head. Smell is mildly smoked. Taste is roasty, rather dry, mild bitterness ( not sweet ) , medium mild smokeyness ( still acceptable to me, even ) . no traces of the mushrooms to me , which is a good thing from my point of view. All and all, i expected to absolutely hate this, but it's quite decent. nevertheless, i woulnd't be drinking a glass of this, but one's gotta respect how they can merge these ingredients to something even I find OK.

On tap at Põhjala Brewery & Tap Room, Tallinn. Pitch black with a rather modest, beige head that doesn't last. Roasty and slightly earthy aroma with dark chocolate, mushrooms, dark dried fruits and hints of smoke and caramel. Sweet, flavourful and quite balanced. Nice one for the autumn.

Bottle, 9%. Very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, smoke and liquorice. Flavour is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, smoke, liquorice, medium sweet and medium bitter.

25/8/19: Pretty sweet and pretty salty. Dense body, heavier than the ABV suggests. Mushroomy for sure, very umami, a little bit of smoke but not as much as real "smoked beers". Well balanced, interesting recipe and they pulled it off.
4/10/2020: Pours black, thin layer of creamy brown foam. Smells savoury, earthy, smoke. Slightly creamy mouthfeel, some light carbonation. Taste is lightly smoky, pretty umami, some ashyness. More meaty smoke in the back. Saltyness clearly there. Fun, not bad at all
