50 cL bottle, courtesy of Papsoe/Ungstrup. Pours clear and golden deep orange to amber with a small off-white head. Mild fruity and toasted malt aroma. Somewhat oldish and roasted malt flavoured. Shows a mild bitterness into a quite malty finish.

Courtesy of bierkoning, ty Edo! Clear dark amber color, small off-white head. Perfumic, woody-nutty and caramelly aroma. Nutty, bitterish with oily, dry palate. Overall a bit caramelly and grassy. Listed dunkel here closer to Vienna-style.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear nut brown, small head. Lightly roasty nose. Sweetish with much cleaner mouthfeel than their zwickel. The flavours doesn’t come out as well as in the unfiltered version. Slight metallic flavour. The perfumy roastiness is here restrained, Even though the two spring from the same base beer the different is vast from a consumer’s point of view.

Bottle at London Drinker BF 07. Malty, bit of sickly vomit. Some cereal, bit vomitty, bit cereally and odd. In fact I think I left my tastebuds at home for this festival.

(bottle) Clear, amber colour with a big foamy off-white head. Sweet and slightly roasted malt aroma, bready with caramel some spicy, herbal elements, a light sourish note and a good dose of barnyard smell. Moderately sweet flavour, medium to light bodied with a soft carbonation. Dark malty, slightly roasted tasted with caramel and again that barnyard-character; moderately dry, malty and slightly bitter finish. Pleasantly balanced rural taste. A goodie. Many thanks for this one and all the others from Franconia to Wastl !

A dark amber beer with a nice orange head. The aroma is sweet flowery and hoppy, while the flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel as well as a light touch of ryebread, leading to a very bitter end.
